Nervous energy zipped through me as Bryan drove us to his house. Although house wasnât a good enough word to describe the mini mansion looming up ahead.
âWow,â I said. âThis is⦠nice.â
His smooth laughter eased the knot in my stomach. âItâs just bricks and mortar, Kitty Cat.â
It really wasnât. Bryanâs house was something straight out of a magazine. And I couldnât believe I was here.
âIt looks impressive, but trust me, itâs no fun spending most of your life home alone.â
âWhat do you mean?â I asked.
âMy parents⦠theyâre away a lot.â
âMy parents are getting divorced,â I blurted out.
âYeah, I heard.â
âLet me guess, Peyton?â She was the only person Iâd told.
âYeah, apparently, she thought I should know.â
âI donât want your pity, Bryan.â
âNever. But I get it. I get what itâs like to have parents who make things difficult.â He smiled and it made my heart flutter. âCome on.â
Bryan got out and came around to get my door. I slipped my hand in his and together we went inside. âEverything is so pretty.â
âMy parents like the finer things in life.â
There was something so sad about the way he said the words. I turned to him and said, âAnd what do you like?â
âYou.â He grinned. âI like you.â
Heat pooled low in my stomach. The way he looked at meâit was incendiary, burning me up on the inside.
âAre you hungry?â
âIâ¦â I swallowed, dipping my gaze to his mouth.
âCome here.â Bryan took hold of my wrist and tugged me into him, burying his other hand deep into my hair. Shivers raced down my spine as he ran his thumb over my bottom lip. âI could kiss you for days on end and never grow tired of it.â He leaned in. âOpen up for me, Kitty Cat.â
God. His rough voice made me tremble.
âBryan, Iââ
âSsh, Caz, I got you.â He kissed me. Slow and sure, tangling his tongue with mine, exploring my mouth as if he had all the time in the world. âWhat do you want, Kitty Cat?â
âI⦠nobodyâs ever asked me that before,â I confessed.
âWe go at your pace. Always. But Iâd really like to get my hands on your body.â
I melted at his words. Because I wanted that. I did.
âYou need anything? A drink? Food? I donât want you to think Iâm only after one thing here. I mean, I amâ¦â He smirked playfully. âBut Iâd be happy to hang with you and talk. Iâll take whatever I can get.â
âI⦠I want to. Go upstairs, I mean.â
âThank fuck,â he breathed, practically dragging me upstairs to his room. The second we hit the top step, he pushed me up against the wall, kissing me hard. Bruising my lips and stealing the air from my lungs.
âJesus, I canât get enough of you. Why canât I get enough of you?â
My laughter filled the air.
His hands were all over my body. In my hair, running down my waist, shoving under my t-shirt and tracing the flat of my stomach, the curve of my breasts.
âWait.â I grabbed his t-shirt. âYou
